FACULTY AND STAFF

Kathleen “Kathy” McGowan, 80, passed away on Jan. 9, 2023. She taught in the Upper School at Ravenscroft 2008-2012.

Elaine Cottrell Motley, 85, died on Feb. 10, 2023. She taught in the Middle School Language Arts Department at Ravenscroft in the 1970s and 1980s.

Retired Upper School Director Joe Beasley, 93, died on Feb. 11, 2023. He served at Ravenscroft from 1980 until 1990.

Evelyn Stevens, 90, passed away on May 31, 2023. She served Ravenscroft as the Lower School library assistant for 38 years.

Former Director of Ethics and Leadership Development in the Upper School and Leadership Team member John Dover, 74, died on June 24, 2023. 

Longtime Ravenscroft Kindergarten teacher Carol Smith, 76, passed away on Nov. 18, 2023. Smith worked in the Lower School from 1989 until her retirement in 2012.
