The 26th annual Ravenscroft Golf Classic took place under sunny skies on Monday, Nov. 7, giving the 44 foursomes an unseasonably warm day to play golf for an outstanding cause: Ravenscroft athletics programming for all students in PreK-12.

Parents and guardians, alumni, employees and volunteers made the greens of North Ridge Country Club their home turf for spirited competition and community building. The event began with a shotgun start at noon.

The event is planned and managed through a collaboration of Athletics Department staff, the parent-led Ravens Athletic Club and volunteer co-chairs. Parents Tammy and Kenneth (’85) Haywood returned as co-chairs this year.

“The golf tournament is one of the biggest fundraisers RAC organizes each year!” RAC president Kelley Foster said. “In addition to Tammy and Kenneth, RAC had 15 volunteers working tirelessly on site to make it all happen. Once again, the North Ridge Country Club did an outstanding job of meeting all of our needs.”

Tammy Haywood added, “We had over 170 golfers including 17 alumni, and we had more women compete than ever before! We are so thankful for all those that participated and volunteered, and, of course, we’re grateful for the support of our event sponsors.”
