On Wednesday, Aug. 31, Ravenscroft will formally dedicate the Olander Center for Student Life at the A.E. Finley Activity Center at an evening event celebrating the school’s shared culture of philanthropy.

The Celebration of Giving honors donors who gave at the leadership level of $1,000 or more in the 2021-22 or 2022-23 school year. It will take place 6-8 p.m. in the student center, which opened to the community with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting on March 16 that was attended by students and faculty, school leadership, current and former Ravenscroft trustees, representatives of the A.E. Finley Foundation board, and members of the Olander family.

Head of School Doreen Kelly and other members of school leadership will be in attendance at the event to say thank-you for the generous support that helps ensure Ravenscroft continues to live its mission, vision and values.

Guests at the celebration will also enjoy a keynote address by Nell Derick Debevoise, a Forbes senior contributor, author, and founder and CEO of Inspiring Capital, a certified B Corporation dedicated to helping people and organizations connect their work to contemporary challenges.

Debevoise has studied adult learning, innovation strategy, intercultural education and organizational psychology and has worked in the private, public and for-profit sectors across the world. In her role as a senior contributor at Forbes, she writes about how working and living purposefully leads to improved performance for people and companies while also solving social and environmental problems.
