Deacon Adams ’23 signed his National Letter of Intent on Feb. 9 to play lacrosse for the Queens University Royals in Charlotte next fall.

The 6’2” long-stick midfielder is a four-year varsity letterman for Ravenscroft on the lacrosse field. Adams is a two-time All-TISAC performer and winner of the 2021 Coaches Award. Adams was also a three-time All-Conference player in the Big East Independent Conference for Coach Ned Gonet as a wide receiver, defensive back and punter on the gridiron.

That versatility is not lost on his coaches.

“With so much specialization in athletics nowadays, Deacon is a true throwback multi-sport athlete,” Coach Ryan Beck, in his first season with Ravens lacrosse this year, said. “He is a special talent!”

At his signing, Deacon expressed gratitude to those who helped him in his journey.

“First off, I would like to thank my family for supporting me throughout my athletic and academic career here at Ravenscroft,” he said. “Thank you to my coaches for helping and pushing me to become the player and person I am today. I would like to thank my teammates for being by my side throughout my journey on and off the field.

“I am genuinely grateful for what Ravenscroft has done for me academically and athletically, and I am looking forward to playing at the next level for Queens University.”

Congratulations, Deacon!
