Forty-eight Ravens won special recognition on the National Latin Exam.

Sponsored by the American Classical League and the National Junior Classical League, the NLE is a multiple-choice test with a time limit of 45 minutes, offered to students in eight levels of study, from the introductory level to Advanced Placement coursework.

The purpose of the NLE is twofold: to promote the study of Latin and to encourage the individual student. As such, students are not ranked in comparison to their fellow students but are evaluated solely on their own performance on the exam.

Congratulations to Hudson Perdue ’29, who earned a perfect score on the Introduction to Latin exam; Addison Diener ’26, who earned a perfect score on the Intermediate Reading Comprehension exam; and AP Latin students Henry Zhang ’25 and Ethan McMinn ’24 for their Advanced Reading Comprehension results! Henry also received a book award for having earned four gold medals overall on the National Latin Exam, a truly impressive achievement.
