Members of the 2022-23 Board of Trustees bring their considerable professional expertise and commitment to our mission to the vital work they do on behalf of Ravenscroft.

This board includes current parents, alumni, parents and grandparents of alumni, local business leaders and philanthropists who dedicate their work to ensuring Ravenscroft’s legacy of excellence is preserved and enhanced as the school continues to deliver on its mission to nurture individual potential and prepare students to thrive in a complex and interdependent world.

Welcome to these new board members, who joined in August:

  • Geoff Krouse has served since August 2016 as the Assistant Dean for Alumni and Development and as a Senior Lecturing Fellow (teaching Mergers & Acquisitions) at Duke Law School. He also is a member of the Dean’s senior administrative team and collaborates regularly with the other Duke Law deans and with colleagues university-wide. Prior to his roles at Duke, Krouse practiced law for almost 20 years in the areas of corporate finance, private equity, and mergers and acquisitions, and remains Of Counsel at Smith Anderson in Raleigh. In addition to his busy law practice, he has been a dedicated volunteer for Duke and Duke Law School, including service on the board of directors of the Duke Law Alumni Association. In addition, he has held various nonprofit board positions in the Triangle. Krouse earned his B.A. in Public Policy from Duke University (1993) and his J.D. from Duke Law School (1997). Geoff and his wife, Anne, have three daughters: Grace ’22, Caroline ’22 and Kate ’26.

  • Shawn Morrison ’94 is the senior director of partner success in the fundraising division of EAB, a higher-education marketing and consulting firm. He manages the team that serves as the main point of contact for the company’s development partners across the country. Prior to joining EAB in May 2021, Shawn led the development office at The Steward School, an independent school in Richmond, Virginia. Shawn’s introduction to higher-education fundraising began with the annual fund at Duke University. His career developed further when he joined the advancement team at his alma mater, University of Richmond, gaining experience as a major gifts officer, director of prospect research and director of annual giving. An alum of Ravenscroft, Shawn holds two degrees from the University of Richmond: a B.A. in mathematics with a secondary education concentration (1998) and a Master of Liberal Arts with a concentration in philanthropy (2014). Shawn, his wife, Erica, and their two sons, Manning and Caleb, live in Richmond.
