Creativity, teamwork, and quick thinking were on full display as our two Middle School teams stepped into the spotlight at the recent Odyssey of the Mind (OM™) tournament. Our students proved that Ravenscroft is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to imaginative problem-solving.

A Podium Finish

In the Problem 5 category, titled The Taller Tales of John Jivery, our Ravenscroft team delivered a performance that was as entertaining as it was clever. Tasked with blending performance art with technical requirements — and creating an original tall tale — the team’s narrative flair and stage presence earned them an impressive third place overall. 

Engineering Success

Not far behind was the team tackling Problem 4, Life’s a Ball. This category focuses heavily on technical and engineering prowess, requiring teams to build a balsa wood structure that is tested by balancing and supporting as much weight as possible. Our students showcased incredible resilience and technical skill, securing fourth place overall.

Whether they were building props or practicing spontaneous long-term problem solving, these rankings are a testament to the weeks of preparation, brainstorming sessions, and the collaborative spirit of our students.
