The Parents’ Association’s 2023 Online Auction — which ran Jan. 28-Feb. 3 and featured exclusively items donated by families, businesses and established partners in the school community — was a tremendous success, raising nearly $60,000 to fund PA and school priorities including leadership training and professional development for faculty, students needs in each division, and student wellness, school spirit and community-building.
Some of the event’s most popular items were campus perks and opportunities for Ravens right here on campus! Bidders purchased Ravenscroft summer camps, parking spots, the “Name a Road at Ravenscroft” opportunity, and Head of School for a Day, to name a few. In addition, participants had the opportunity to bid on trips, experiences, services and high-quality merchandise.
The committee also planned a community-wide celebration event to thank donors and businesses while bringing parents and guardians together for an evening of fun at Mystic Distillery. Attendees mixed and mingled, building community and enjoying a free tour of the distillery.
“The Parents’ Association Online Auction Committee was so pleased with the amount of support we received from the Ravenscroft community in the form of donations of items and services to the auction, participation in auction bidding and attendance at the Online Auction Celebration,” committee volunteer Tracey Shepherd said. “The continued participation of established Ravenscroft partners and families in the auction was fantastic and so appreciated. We were also amazed at the outpouring of support from Ravenscroft families new to the auction.”
The PA would like to thank the volunteers who served on the Online Auction committee: Sean Marlowe, Amanda Harrell, Tracey Shepherd and Dion Bennett. Thank you as well to the many generous families who made the auction such as success.
