Ravenscroft Announces Six Student-Athletes during their Spring Signing Day

Ravenscroft Athletics recognized six student-athletes during its Spring Signing Day on Wednesday, April 15. They will continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.

 

 

Rieka Davis ’26 - Girls Soccer, University of St Andrews (Scotland, UK)

Rieka Davis has been a consistent and impactful contributor for Ravenscroft Girls Soccer throughout her four-year varsity career (2023–2026). A four-year letter winner and 2026 team captain, she earned First Team All-Conference and First Team All-Region honors in 2023. Davis has twice led the team in scoring (2025 and 2026 season-to-date) and also earned a varsity track letter in 2022. At the club level, Davis’ highlights include appearances in the N.C. President’s Cup Championship (2021), two N.C. State Cup Finalist finishes (2024, 2025), Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) Regional League Playoffs (2024), and a Jefferson Cup Finalist appearance (2022).

 

Elijah Deifer ’26 -Football, Catholic University of America (Washington, DC)

Elijah Deifer has been a steady and commanding leader for Ravenscroft Football, serving as a three-year varsity starter and four-year letter winner. He earned First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Conference honors during his career while also serving as a member of Ravenscroft’s Student-Athlete Leadership Training (SALT) program. Deifer finishes his Ravenscroft career ranked fifth all-time in passing yards in school history, reflecting his production and leadership within the program.

 

Noah Diggs ’26 - Boys Basketball, University of Southern Maine (Maine)

Noah Diggs has been a competitive and versatile contributor for Ravenscroft Boys Basketball over three varsity seasons. A three-year letter winner, three-year varsity player, and team captain, he helped lead the program to two Triangle Independent Schools Association Conference (TISAC) Championships. Diggs was recognized as a MADE Hoops standout and earned selection to the For The Love Of The City (FTLOTC) Senior All-Star Game in 2026, highlighting his impact at the regional level.

 

Matthew Hutter ’26 - Baseball, Berry College (Georgia)

Matthew Hutter has been a consistently strong performer for Ravenscroft Baseball, serving as a four-year varsity player and four-year letter winner. Over his career, he earned First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Conference honors, along with an All-State nomination, recognizing his impact and performance on the field. Hutter is also a member of SALT, reflecting his leadership and commitment to the program both on and off the field.

 

Erika Larson ’26 - Volleyball, William & Mary (Virginia)

Erika Larson has been a dominant setter, multi-positional player, and consistent leader for Ravenscroft Volleyball during her four-year varsity career. A two-time captain, four-year letter winner, and member of SALT, she helped lead the program to two TISAC Championships while earning three First Team All-Conference selections and two All-State honors. Nationally, Larson has competed at an elite level through selection to the USA Volleyball National Training Development Program (Carolina Region), an Under Armour Next Invite (2025), and multiple American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), Junior Volleyball Association (JVA), and PrepVolleyball watchlists recognizing top setters in the country.

 

Darron Ward ’26 - Boys Basketball, William Peace University (North Carolina) 

Darron Ward has been a physical and steady contributor for Ravenscroft Boys Basketball over two varsity seasons. A three-year varsity player and two-time TISAC Champion at Ravenscroft, he is also a member of SALT and a multi-sport athlete who has contributed across programs. Ward’s strength and versatility have made him a valuable part of the team. He competed in the Elite 60 National Showcase (2025), is a Carolina Jam Gold Bracket Champion and Best of the South Gold Bracket Champion, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
