Ravenscroft Seniors Commit to Play Collegiate Football
Two seniors signing commitment letters to play college football.

 

Two members of the Ravenscroft Class of 2026 formally committed to play collegiate football on Tuesday, Feb. 4. Grandison Howard ’26 and Miles Hughey ’26 celebrated the milestone on National Football Signing Day during a ceremony held in Warner Arena. 

Grandison Howard ’26 – Campbell University (North Carolina)

Howard has committed to play football at Campbell University. A three-time Big East All-Conference selection, he was named the 2025 team MVP and served as a team captain that same season. At Ravenscroft, Howard earned varsity letters in football during his junior (2024) and senior (2025) seasons and received First Team All-Conference honors both years. 

 

Miles Hughey ’26 – Football, Track and Field, Oberlin College (Ohio)

Hughey has committed to play football at Oberlin College. He earned 2025 Big East All-Conference honors and recorded more than 100 receiving yards against Ravenscroft-rival North Raleigh Christian Academy, three touchdowns against Wayne Christian, and was named Player of the Week following that performance. Hughey is a three-time varsity letter recipient in football, earning letters during his sophomore (2023), junior (2024), and senior (2025) seasons.

Hughey will also compete as a member of the Track and Field team at Oberlin College. While at Ravenscroft, he has earned three TISAC All-Conference selections, placed third in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2025 TISAC Championships, and received three invitations to the NCISAA All-State Conference. He lettered in track during his freshman (2022), sophomore (2023), junior (2024), and is on track to earn a fourth letter award for the 2025-26 school year for indoor/winter and outdoor track.
