Students Recognized in 2022 National Merit Scholarship Competition

Ten Ravenscroft seniors have been recognized in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship competition as a result of their performance on the 2020 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

Approximately 16,000 semifinalists across the country were named in the 67th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships, worth nearly $30 million, that will be offered next spring.

In addition, the National Merit Scholarship program also announced the names of 34,000 students across the country who achieved Commended Student status. Although these students will not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, they placed among the top 50,000 of over 1.5 million who participated.
