Video Celebrates Kelly’s “Inspired Legacy of Learning, Leading and Serving”

As the celebration season for Head of School Doreen Kelly kicks off in earnest, the Ravenscroft Marketing and Communications team partnered with T&T Creative Group to produce a video, “Doreen C. Kelly: An inspired legacy of learning, leading and serving.”

The seven-minute video features colleagues and friends from across the Ravenscroft community — longtime trustee Frances Pugh, former board chairs Caryn McNeil and Kevin Anderson ’82, longtime Associate Head of School for Academic Affairs Colleen Ramsden, parent volunteer and philanthropist Tijuana Crosby, and alumni Tré Cotten ’07 and Sean Kelly ’11 — exploring the highlights of Kelly’s 21-year tenure as Head of School and what working with her has meant to each of them.

Pugh’s words conclude the video: “She’s in my heart — she’s in everybody’s heart!”

Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Jennifer Davis led the project, which she called “an honor and a privilege” to work on.

“How do you summarize 21 years of Doreen’s leadership as Head of School in just a few minutes?” Davis said. “The short answer: it’s a wonderful challenge!”

Davis also noted the importance of the collaboration between her team and the video’s production team, T&T Creative Group of Raleigh, whose principal is Ravenscroft parent Derrick Thompson.

“From the moment we started working on this project, I knew we wanted to explore Doreen’s legacy through the lens of her commitment to ‘learning, leading and serving,’” Davis said. “Working with Derrick made the project even more meaningful. He and his team jumped right in and helped us bring this amazing story to life. It was a wonderful partnership in all aspects.”
