Former soccer coach and IT specialist Alix Charles passed away on May 27, 2026. Charles spent more than 10 years at Ravenscroft and led the Varsity Boys Soccer team to multiple appearances at the North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association (NCISAA) state semifinals and finals.

On Tuesday, April 7, the Ravenscroft community came together to honor longtime coach and educator Greg Long with a surprise tribute celebrating his retirement after 42 years of service to the school. 

Kevin Billerman concluded a 26-year tenure at Ravenscroft School in December 2025, retiring with a 523–222 record as head coach of the varsity boys basketball program. Billerman joined Ravenscroft in 2000 and served in multiple roles, including Upper School Academic Skills Instructor and Dean of Student Life. 

Ravenscroft has officially been designated as Heart Safe through Project ADAM. This is a significant accomplishment and a direct reflection of the school's commitment to the safety and well-being of our students and community.

Matthew Parunak, who is co-director of bands and a private lessons teacher at Ravenscroft, was selected to join the Band Directors Marching Band in the Pasadena Rose Parade® on Jan. 1, 2026.

Ravenscroft is thrilled to announce that Sarah Sims has been named Assistant Head of School for Community, Culture, and Belonging, beginning July 1, 2026.

Visual Art Teacher Erin Stelling and former Ravenscroft photography students were recently featured in LENSCRATCH, an online platform dedicated to supporting and celebrating the photographic arts and photographic artists.
