About Emily Taylor Farrell ’01
Farrell’s abstract compositions are inspired by the need to express basic human emotion without words. Color relationships, bold hues, interesting shapes, gestural lines and negative space abound in her work. The materials used in her art include acrylic, gouache, soft pastel, graphite, oil and resin. She searches to find balance and harmony, creating beautiful expressionist art that is typically characterized by vibrant use of color and expressive strokes.
