Former soccer coach and IT specialist Alix Charles passed away on May 27, 2026. Charles spent more than 10 years at Ravenscroft and led the Varsity Boys Soccer team to multiple appearances at the North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association (NCISAA) state semifinals and finals.

Ravenscroft's Middle School and Junior Varsity sports teams wrapped up a successful spring season. Their accomplishments were celebrated at an awards ceremony in Jones Theatre in May.

The recognition highlights the program's sustained commitment to cancer awareness, student leadership, and meaningful community impact through a longstanding Ravenscroft tradition.

Commencement exercises for the Ravenscroft Class of 2026 took place on Friday, May 22, at The King’s Chapel in Raleigh. The ceremony brought family, faculty and friends together to celebrate the traditional conferring of diplomas and to hear moving addresses from guest speaker Dewayne Washington II ’16, valedictorian Grace Garney ’26, and class speaker Doug “Dugan” Stewart IV ’26.

On the evening of Thursday, May 21, Ravenscroft faculty, family and friends gathered to honor the Class of 2026 at the school’s annual baccalaureate service. The service was held at The King’s Chapel and provided a pause ahead of the fanfare of commencement and an invitation for this year’s graduates to reflect on what they have accomplished and who they are becoming.
