Ravenscroft's Middle School and Junior Varsity sports teams wrapped up a successful spring season. Their accomplishments were celebrated at an awards ceremony in Jones Theatre in May. 

For Sydney Johnson ’27, the journey to becoming a 2026 Cheerleading Worlds champion was built on resilience, repetition and learning through adversity.

ABC11 featured Varsity Field Hockey coach Meg Cline and several Ravenscroft students in a recent story on the growth of club field hockey in Raleigh on Monday, May 11. Cline came to Ravenscroft in 2024 and is the director of North Raleigh Field Hockey. 

Chloe Mikles Stoffers '16 and Calvin Atkeson '18 were inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame during Alumni Weekend for their remarkable accomplishments in the pool, on the field, and on the mat. 

Coach Ned Gonet received the Class of 1862 Award, which recognizes non-alumni for outstanding contributions to the school through dedicated service or volunteer support. After 45 years of shaping Ravenscroft Athletics and the lives of countless student-athletes, Gonet was welcomed to the alumni community with this honorary recognition. 

On Tuesday, April 7, the Ravenscroft community came together to honor longtime coach and educator Greg Long with a surprise tribute celebrating his retirement after 42 years of service to the school. 

Ravenscroft Athletics recognized six student-athletes during its Spring Signing Day on Wednesday, April 15. They will continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.
