Ravenscroft’s 2025 Day of Giving, held on Thursday, March 13, exceeded the goal of 300 gifts, bringing in more than $160K in donations to the Fund For Ravenscroft.
Building on the success of last year’s event, the single-day fundraiser was based on a simple premise: participation is key. Setting a target of 300 gifts of any amount, the Fund For Ravenscroft team — made up of staff in the Office of Institutional Advancement and parent volunteers — put together grade-level contests and an impressive $50K challenge to inspire Ravenscroft families in all three divisions to get involved.
A special video message narrated by Student Body President Jai Gupta ’25 launched the day. Emails featuring Ravenscroft swag and words of encouragement from division heads and Head of School Derrick Willard kept the goal visible throughout the day. By the end of the day, the school community had come through with 468 gifts totaling $162,186.
“March 13, 2025, was a great day to be a Raven,” Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement Ben Rein wrote in an email announcing the gift totals to families, faculty and staff, and alumni. “To everyone who participated in our Day of Giving, thank you. It was a magical and wonderful day of impact and celebration.”
The Fund For Ravenscroft is the institution’s top annual giving priority. Gifts made to the FFR make it possible for the school to allocate additional financial resources to key initiatives across campus.
Congratulations to the grade-level winners of the participation challenge for each division, whose students will enjoy special treats to celebrate:
- Lower School: Kindergarten (special dessert)
- Middle School: Seventh Grade (Chick-Fil-A Chick-n Minis during advisory)
- Upper School: Ninth Grade (Free food truck lunch)
The Kindergarten class also had the highest participation rate, 68%. Way to go!
